GUWAHATI: A tragic accident took place in Guwahati’s Jalukbari area, where two people has been grievously injured. The episode took place on Wednesday during the night hours. 

As per the reports, the man who was driving the truck lost control of the vehicle and collided with a divider. The truck rammed in the NH resulting in severe injuries. The vehicle was approaching from Amingaon area and was moving towards Jalukbari, when the unfortunate accident occurred. 

As per the eyewitnesses, the truck driver along with a co-driver was stuck inside the vehicle for several hours following the incident. The truck got damaged during the episode with registration number AS 17 C 0293. 

A team of Jalukbari police unit rushed to the spot of incident and rescued both the individuals and moved them out of the truck. Currently, the duo is going through medical treatment. On 21st of February, Tuesday a matter came to light from Assam’s Hailakandi district where a student jumped off a moving vehicle. 

The student was a minor girl who is pursuing her education from a Madrassa in Hailakandi, and she jumped off a moving a auto when it did not stop on her request in front of her school gate. Following the incident, the minor was severely bruised and injured and a gathering of local students initiated mass protest against the matter. 

The story began when the girl got up in an auto rickshaw for school, which has been identified as JB ME Madrassa, located in Chiparsangan locality of Hailakandi district. Unfortunately, the driver failed to stop the vehicle right at the school gate while she kept on requesting, as a result the girl got furious and jumped out of the moving vehicle. Locals gathered at the spot of incident and rushed the minor to a hospital located in Algapur. 

However, she was later referred to Silchar Medical College and Hospital (SMCH) for further treatment. As per the sources, the exact spot where the girl jumped off was 200m away from her actual school entrance. 

People reported about the matter to the concerned police authorities, after which a team arrived at the scene and took the driver along with another man under the lawful custody. Local people hurriedly chased the auto and did not let go off the driver and the passenger man.

It has been suspected that the girl might have sensed some sort of trouble when the driver did not stop at the school, and she jumped out of the auto.
