DHUBRI: Brisk preparations are afoot by the Dhubri District unit of Simanta Chetana Manch Purvottar to hold the two-day state annual conference which will get underway from July 29.

The two-day state-level conclave of the Manch is being organized under the auspices of Dhubri District unit Simanta Chetana Manch. Nearly 400 delegates from international bordering districts - Dhubri, South Salmara- Mancachar,Kokrajhar, Chirang, Bongaigaon, Baksa, Udalguri, Cachar and Karimganj are expected to attend the two-day conclave of the Manch here at Dhubri District Library Auditorium.

While addressing a press meet jointly at Simanta Bhawan office auditorium here on Thursday, the president of North East Simanta Chetana Manch, Dr Pratima Neogi, president of the reception committee, Udayan Chakraborty and State general secretary, Debasish Dutta informed that 19 sub-committees with around 300 activists of the Manch were working round the clock to make this two-day conclave a success.

They informed the media persons that there would be seven sessions altogether on various issues and subjects which would begin just after unfurling the flag of Manch at 7.30 AM at site of venue of conference and registration of the delegates on July 29.

Dutta informed that a souvenir titled ‘Simanta 23’ would be released followed by open meeting to be attended by coordinator of National Sima Jagaran Manch, A. Gopal Krishan, co- coordinator of National Sima Jagaran Manch, Pradipan Ji, Guardian Minister, Jayanta Mallabaruah, BTC chief Pramod Boro and Director of North East Centre for Technology Application and Research (Nectar), Arun Kumar Sarma.

Among the seven session, the first would be chaired by the organizing secretary of the State body of the Manch, Jogen Roy while the seventh and last session would be held on July 30, Dutta further informed.
