LAKHIMPUR: The ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’, an aspiring initiative of the Government of India taken to weave the stories of empowerment and collective engagement toward a shared vision of national development, was launched in Lakhimpur district on Wednesday.
In this connection, a programme was organized at Ujjalpur and Saboti Gaon Panchayats under Lakhimpur Development Block of the district in a befitting manner. The campaign was flagged off by Lakhimpur District Development Commissioner Utpal Borah in the presence of District Lead Bank Officer Madhav Saikia, District Information and Public Relation Officer Mandira Chayengiya, Lakhimpur Block Development Officer Seuti Doley, Ujjalpur GP president Basanta Saikia, secretary Kalyan Dutta, Saboti GP secretary Mitali Hazarika Gogoi, officers from various departments of the district and local public. At the very outset of the event, Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra pledge was taken in order to work for an India with inclusive development by 2047. Then the departmental officers present in the event explained about the progress and achievements of the government schemes implemented by the departments concerned during the tenures of the BJP-led governments. The officers also made replies to number of queries made by public regarding the government schemes.
It should be noted here that the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra is the largest-ever outreach initiative of the Government of India. Planked on the vision of inclusive development, it has been a constant endeavour to ensure that the benefits of the government schemes reach all in every corner achieving cent per cent saturation. In Lakhimpur district too, the campaign will mark a significant step in the achievement of this objective through outreach, information dissemination, and empowering citizens to become active stakeholders in the country’s development. During the course of the campaign, the government departments like Agriculture, Veterinary and Animal Husbandry, Public Health and Engineering, Finance, Panchayat and Rural Development, Fishery, Social Welfare, Food and Civil Supply, Industry and Commerce, Health, Fertilizer, Banks etc. will create mass awareness about the flagship schemes of the governments.
TINSUKIA: Viksit Bharat SankalpYatra, a customised mobile van deployed for disseminating information, awareness and extending services on reaching Tinsukia on Wednesday was formally launched at Koomsang Tea Garden under Koomsang Gaon Panchayat by Pradan Baruah, MP of Lakhimpur Constituency in the presence of Rupesh Gowala, MLA Doomdooma, Gurnel Singh, CEO, Tinsukia Zilla Parishad and Dr Jayanta Bhattacharjee, Joint Director of Health Services Tinsukia, besides other officials. The 60-day long Viksit Bharat SankalpYatra is being organised from November 20 to January 25, 2024 across the country to celebrate the achievements of the Government, on a nationwide awareness campaign at each Gram Panchyat in rural areas and slums and low income groups in urban areas across the country covering around 3500 Urban Local Bodies. There are two schemes identified by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare for the demonstration during Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra-Ayushman Bharat-PMJAY- Card distribution among the beneficiaries and TB screening under National TB Elimination Programme.
NAGAON: In order to create awareness through outreach activities to achieve saturation of the various flagship schemes being sponsored as well as implemented by the government, the programme titled, “Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra” has been initiated by the Government of India from November 15 to January 26, 2024 across the nation.
Accordingly, as part of this programme, two IEC Display Vans broadcasting the various flagship schemes of the government reached Senchuwa Gaon Panchayat under Khagarijan Development Block of Nagaon district on Wednesday.
In a programme held at the office of Senchuwa Pram Panchayat, local MLA Rupak Sarma ceremonially inaugurated the “Vikshit Bharat Sankalp Yatra” in Nagaon district. While inaugurating, Sarma mentioned the importance of various schemes provided by the central and State government so that the people can take its full benefit. Additionally, he stated that individuals are better equipped to apply for benefits in a proper manner when they are aware of the various programmes and their qualifying requirements.
In his welcome address, Chief Executive Officer of Nagaon Zilla Parishad, Ananta Gogoi elucidated the idea behind the “Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra” programme wherein departmental officials from all concerned departments of the administration will make the public aware of flagship schemes such as Ayushman Bharat Yojana (PMJAY), PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, Deendayal Antyoday Yojana, PM Awas Yojana (Rural), PM Ujjwala Yojana, PM Vishwakarma, PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, Kisan Credit Card, PM Poshan Abhiyan, Har Ghar Jal-Jal Jeevan Mission, SVAMITVA, Jan Dhan Yojana, Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, Suraksha Bima Yojana, Atal Pension Yojana, PM PRANAM, Nano fertilizer among others so that no rightful or eligible person is deprived from the benefit of the schemes provided by the government and also enrolment of potential beneficiaries through details ascertained during the Yatra.
He also mentioned that the public meeting and the IEC Display Van will cover 172 Gaon Panchayats and all Urban Local Bodies under Nagaon district in a phased manner. Later in the day, the IEC Display Van will also be broadcasted at Bebejia Dimow Bangthai GP Office under Khagorijan Development Block where a similar programme has been organized for today.
