Guwahati: The Boragaon murder case in which a woman's body parts were found wrapped in plastic bags has been finally solved by the police. 

As per reports, a woman named Debjani Das was allegedly involved in the brutal killing of the victim identified as Antima Gupta on Thursday. Debjani Das not only killed the victim but also chopped her body into pieces and wrapped it in plastic bags.

It has been revealed that Debjani Das has confessed to committing the murder before the police. Antima Gupta was bludgeoned to death by Debjani Das after a fight occurred between the two. 

According to sources, the accused was involved in an extra-marital after with the deceased's husband, Santosh Gupta. This led to a fight between the two women which finally resulted in the death of Antima Gupta. 

Debjani Das had thrashed the victim to her death and later cut her body in pieces and wrapped the body parts in a plastic bag which she hid in the couple's bedroom. The couple lived in a rented apartment in Boragaon.

Debjani Das, along with the family members of the couple had been called in for questioning by Guwahati police.

Interestingly, the police had launched a search operation for Antima Gupta after her husband had filed a missing complaint at the Gorchuk Police Station.
