Guwahati: It seems to be a season of unending exam scams for Assam. Within days of the question paper leak for the exams of the Sub Inspector job in Assam Police, another question paper leak issue has emerged. This time it is the Oil India Limited (OIL).

Oil India Limited (OIL) had conducted the exam for the post of Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) operator at Dibrugarh University on Sunday. The question paper for the aforementioned examination is alleged to have leaked via WhatsApp while the exam was underway.

Around 900 students sat for the esteemed OIL examination. The exam was being conducted to fill 30 vacancies.

The exam has been called off and an investigation is on regarding the paper leakage.

On 20th September, the Assam Police examination for the post of Sub-Inspector (SI) was held, when the exam was cancelled within few minutes due to paper leakage. Several top Assam Police officials including DIG P K Dutta, SP Sanjit Krishna and former BJP leaders were found to be involved in the question paper scam. A Criminal Investigation Department (CID) investigation is on.

A total of 49 people had been arrested so far. Some 66,000 candidates had sat for the SI examination. The exams will now be held on November 22.
