However, he met with a dreadful fate when he was brutally attacked by unidentified miscreants.

According to available information, Rafiqul, accompanied by his father-in-law, had travelled to Ri Bhoi district in Meghalaya. On Sunday evening, while his father-in-law was away shopping, Rafiqul fell victim to the violent assault. After the gruesome act, the assailants callously dumped Rafiqul's unconscious body at a locality under Umiam Police Station. Locals discovered Rafiqul in a critical state and immediately rushed him to a nearby hospital in a desperate bid to save his life. However, the young man succumbed to his injuries before reaching the medical facility.
