Assam: Youth washed away in Lahowal river in Dibrugarh

DIBRUGARH: A 22-year-old youth was washed away in the Lahowal river in Dibrugarh on Sunday night. The youth has been identified as Bishnu Garh of Lahowal. SDRF and NDRF teams have launched a search operation in the Lahowal river. His clothes were found near the river. “We’re not sure how the situation came about. Yesterday, when we were watching films together, he abruptly left. We assumed he had gone home for dinner, then all of a sudden the tragedy occurred,” said a local resident.
