Assamese actor Ravi Sharma joins BJP in presence of BJP national leaders

Guwahati: Famous Assamese actor Ravi Sharma joins the Bharatiya Janata Party on Friday in presence of national-level BJP leaders in a meeting held in GMCH auditorium. This is to be noted that Ravi Sharma is not the only one to join the party in the meeting, as Anshumita Gogoi, who is a dentist in the profession, also joins the party.

Dr. Anshumita Gogoi was the key person behind the unveiling of the APSC scam running in Assam for several years. It was she who had exposed the scandalous appointments of the 2013 APSC batch that was done under the Rakesh Paul and other authorities of the commission. Anshumita had dared to go against the massive scam by complaining about it at the office of the Superintendent of Police in Dibrugarh. The Dibrugarh police, following her complaint, had laid a trap and caught Nabakanta Patir red-handed who was a key middleman in the APSC appointment dealings.

Both Ravi Sharma and Dr. Anshumita Gogoi ensured their participation in the BJP in presence of Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who is currently a member of the legislative assembly of the State of Madhya Pradesh and was the former Chief Minister of the Madhya Pradesh, between 2005 and 2018.

With the Bharatiya Janata Party doing exceptionally well in Assam and earning great popularity among its people, the joining of the popular personalities like Ravi Sharma in the party has added more power and strength to the party. before this, another popular actor of Assakes films and theatres Jatin Bora too had joined the national political party. However, famous female actor Angurlata Deka is already a part and parcel of the party while also playing active roles as the Batadrava MLA.

Actor Ravi Sharma is known for his films like Hiya Diya Niya, Nayak, Koka Deutar Ghar Juwai, Tumi Aahibane and so on.
