Morigaon: An Assamese novel ‘Tololing To Kargil’ written by Ami Barthakur was ceremonially released by noted author and translator (Xahitya Academic awardee) Diganta Biswa Sarma at a well attended function at Morigaon college on Sunday. The novel was written based on the life of captain Jintu Gogoi who sacrificed his life for the greater interest of the nation. Writer Ami Barthakur explained the life of captain Jintu Gogoi how he led the second Rajput Rifles and  fought against the Pakistan Army in Kargil sector in 1999. The book release programme began with an Assamese melody song by a local popular singer Namrata Kashyap. Thereafter, writer Ami Barthakur felicitated the author Diganta Biswa Sarma with a xarai and a gamosa in presence of distinguished guests in the meeting. Speaking on the occasion of the day, Diganta Biswa Sarma delivered an one hour valuable speech in the meeting which mesmerized everyone in the meeting. Later lecturer of Morigaon college Ami Barthakur provided the vote of thanks and spoke about the novel at langth.
