This decisive victory in the first round of the AFC Under-20 Asian Cup Qualifiers was led by the women's team's captain, Apurna Narzary. The women's team defeated their opponents by a score of seven and completely destroyed them.

Apurna Narzary of Assam, the team's captain, concluded a strong performance against Singapore in the game played in Vietnam with a hat trick.

She is the daughter of Biswajit Narzary of Khagrabari village in the Kokrajhar district. She has participated in numerous international events on behalf of India, including ones in Thailand, Bangladesh, and Qatar.
