GUWAHATI: In a moment of immense pride and acclaim for Assam, "Lachit The Warrior," an animated film that pays homage to the legendary Ahom warrior Lachit Borphukan, has clinched the title of Best Animation Film at the YathaKatha International Film and Literature Festival held in Mumbai. The big event, which unfolded last night, witnessed this Assamese film -crafted with remarkable artistry and dedication- being celebrated on an international stage.

It is worth noting here that the brainchild of director Parthasarathi Mahanta, "Lachit The Warrior" has been receiving accolades and recognition far and wide. It has been garnering acclaim across the global film festival circuit, earning its place in the spotlight at eight international film festivals, including prestigious events in Delhi, Kolkata, Jaipur, and Mumbai North-East Film Festival at Mumbai. The film's growing reputation has now led to its selection for the highly regarded Indian Panorama, set to be showcased at the forthcoming International Film Festival of India in Goa.

The film's production was carried out under the guidance of Mina Mahanta and Indrani Baruah, while the captivating narration was provided by Dr. Amarjyoti Choudhury. The soul-stirring musical score was composed by Rupam Talukdar, adding depth and emotion to the narrative.

Steering the creative direction of the project was Anupam Mahanta, whose vision ensured a powerful blend of storytelling and animation.
