Guwahati: Assam's musical icon Zubeen Garg was released from the hospital on Saturday as he made a speedy recovery.

The noted singer from Assam was admitted to Sanjeevani Hospital in Dibrugarh after he fell in the bathroom on July 19 and became unconscious.

The singer received an injury after he fell in the bathroom and was immediately rushed to Sanjeevni Hospital in Dibrugarh.

Doctors conducted a CT scan to ascertain his condition. However, his vital parameters were stable at that time.

''We conducted some tests and the result of the same are awaiting. He has been admitted today and if everything seems fine, he will be discharged by the evening,'' media reports quoted one doctor as saying.

Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma had also asked the Deputy Commissioner of Dibrugarh to provide every help to Zubeen.

Health Minister Keshab Mahanta was also monitoring the situation closely.

The Assam Heartthrob Zubeen Garg has produced music for Assamese, Bengali, and Bollywood films. Some of his most popular songs include Ya Ali, from the 2006 Bollywood film Gangster, and Dil Tu Hi Bataa, from Hrithik Roshan's Krrish 3. Besides this, he also got a break in the movies in 2008.
