GUWAHATI: MasterChef India, a well-liked cooking reality programme in India, is coming to an end. Nayanjyoti Saikia and Santa Sharma from Assam made it to the top 3 of the finalists after an exciting trip that included numerous heart-pounding obstacles and poignant moments.

The final episode of MasterChef India 7 will air on March 31, and viewers are anxiously anticipating it to find out who will be declared the winner.

Assam's Nayan and Santa have played their parts well, winning the judges' hearts as well as the viewers, who got to learn many useful tips about cooking while the show was being aired. Their dishes have ranged from delicious deserts to spectacular-looking spicy dishes.

Despite coming from modest backgrounds, Nayan and Santa have made the Assamese people proud with their culinary prowess and almost flawless table setting.  According to recent rumours in the audience, the two contestants who are among the three finalists, Suvarna Bagul or Santa Sharma, may be ousted from the race.

Even though there have been rumours and pictures going viral showing Nayan winning the MasterChef title, the winner won't be revealed until March 31.  In the interim, viewers will be treated to more suspenseful challenges in the MasterChef kitchen as the finalists compete for the trophy.

MasterChef India, judged by Vikas Khanna, Ranveer Brar, and Garima Arora, debuted in January. The program recently came under fire from viewers who thought the judges were favouring a small number of contestants.

Aruna Vijay, a vegetarian, was once permitted to prepare food using paneer while the other contestants had to prepare pork. Also, viewers criticized the judges for favoring her and praising her meals while criticizing others, such as Priyanka Biswas Kundu.

They also criticize the judges for portraying Kamaldeep Kaur as the "mom" of the competition and for playing up her sensitive side.

Then comes 26-year-old, self-trained cook from Tinsukia, Assam, Nayanjyoti Saikia. Vikas Khanna initially spotted him on Instagram. The Michelin-starred chef persuaded his father to allow him to follow his passion for cooking despite his opposition.

Nayanjyoti has had his own adventure on MasterChef, where he has excelled in some challenges and come in last in others.
