GUWAHATI: Assam’s Shakil Hussain secured top position in NEET UG 2023 exam overall in the Northeast. Following the publication of the NEET UG 2023 results today, Shakil Hussain, a student from a private coaching centre, was named the overall Northeast region's top performer. Shakil achieved the highest overall score in the Northeast—695 out of 720—in the NEET UG 2023 exam.

The results of the National Eligibility Completion Entrance Test-Undergraduate, or NEET UG 2023, were released by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on June 13.

Along with the NEET results, NTA also released the names of all-India top scorers, the grades they earned, and the category-specific cutoff marks.

Except for Manipur, the medical entrance exam took place on May 7, 2023. For 8,753 Manipur candidates, the exam was held on June 6 in 11 places, including Imphal, the state capital.

Provisional answer keys, candidate recorded replies, and OMR copies have all been made available for the NEET tests held on May 7 and June 6. The results will be announced first, followed by the release of the final answer key.

On the other hand, Results showed that 11,45,976 candidates in total had qualified. Maharashtra has the second-highest number of qualified students (1,31,008) behind Uttar Pradesh (1,39,961).

As many as 5,25,194 members of the OBC category, 1,53,674 members of the SC, 56,381 members of the ST, 3,12,405 members of the General, and 98,322 members of the EWS category were eligible.

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will reveal the counselling dates in the meantime. The qualified and eligible applicants must register on the MCC website, mcc.nic.in, in order to take part in the counselling session for seat allocation.

The NEET 2023 Exam was successfully administered by the National Testing Agency (NTA), and it attracted a record-breaking 20,87,449 students who were vying for spots in the MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BSMS, BUMS, and BHMS programmes.
