TINSUKIA: To infuse a sense of international brotherhood, world peace, and national integrity, a two-day Maha Utsav was observed at the 81-year old Digboi Buddha Vihar with the unveiling of Assam’s tallest and India’s second tallest 52-foot high Budha statue at the Central Digboi area on Saturday.

The magnificent statue of Lord Buddha was unveiled by Dileep Kumar Baruah, a USA-based NRI. A good number of monks and Buddhists paid obeisance after performing rituals.
