ASULM and Swaccha Bharat Mission celebrate Gandhi Jayanti in Sivasagar

GAURISAGAR: Assam State Urban Livelihoods Mission (ASULM) and Swaccha Bharat Mission, Sivasagar Municipal Board celebrated the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi on Friday at City Mission Management Unit, Sivasagar Municipal Board.

Executive Officer of Sivasagar Municipal Board, Bhaskar Jyoti Rajbongshi, Assistant Engineer of Sivasagar Municipal Board, Rajib Bora, City Project Manager (NULM) and City Project Officer (SBM-U) were present on the occasion. Bhaskarjyoti Rajbongshi inaugurated the cleanliness drive carried out by street vendors, SHG members and staff of DAY-NULM. He also distributed homemade masks (made by SHGs of DAY-NULM) and hand gloves to all SHG members and street vendors present on the occasion.

All SHG members and vendors also took the pledge for Swachhata. In connection with the observation of Gandhi Jayanti, members of CLF, ALF and SHG members under DAY-NULM also organized cleanliness drive in their respective wards and areas and also took pledge on Swachhata.
