Attack on Morigaon District Journalists’ Association condemned in Jorhat

MORIGAON: Morigaon District Journalists’ Association (MDJA) has strongly condemned the physical assault and vandalism of a local channel’s Bureau Chief’s office in Jorhat on Monday. In a statement sent to the media on behalf of the association, its president Birinchi Kumar Sharma and secretary Jitumoni Nath said it was unfortunate that the gang involved in anti-social activities attacked the journalist and his office. Therefore, the government should take into consideration the safety of journalists and ensure their safety.

DEMOW: Demow Press Club has condemned the attack on the jounalist. The Demow Press members had demanded proper punishment to the miscreants and also demanded the administration to provided security to the journalists.
