Attacks by ‘spray man’ continues to shock people In Kokrajhar

Kokrajhar: Another attack by ‘spray man’ in Kokrajhar on Sunday evening has shocked the people of Kokrajhar and Chirang districts. A 22-year old woman was hospitalized after she was attacked by unidentified miscreants at Samsingkhela Khonapara under Bishmuri Outpost in Kokrajhar on Sunday evening. The incident reportedly took place around 8.30 pm when the woman went to fetch water from the well near her house.

According to the victim, she was fetching water when she felt something fall on her head and after few seconds she felt dizziness and numbness. She was brought to Rupnath Brahma Civil Hospital (RNB Civil Hospital), Kokrajhar and is undergoing treatment.

This is the fourth straight incident in Samsingkhela area since September 28. On September 28, two minor girls were hospitalized after they were sprayed some chemicals leaving them unconscious at Sonapur and Dharamtol villages in Kokrajhar district. Two days later, another woman was also hospitalized after she was attacked with spray and recently another woman was hospitalized after she fought back with the ‘spray man’ at Bandwguri village under Sidli PS in Chirang district.
