Awareness against sexual harassment held in Morigaon

MORIGAON: As part of UniTE, an initiative of the secretary general of the United Nations to resist the violence against women within 2030, the District Social Welfare Department, in association with the district administration, on Wednesday took out a rally on Elimination of Violence Against Women & Girls (EVAWG) titled 'Orange The World' across the town.

ADC Arundhuti Narah Nipun flagged off the rally at the DC's office in presence of DSWO Santosh Kutum, WWO of MSK, Pinkimoni Devi and others. The rally was taken out to create awareness against sexual harassment of women in the work place. The rally started at the DC office via school field and reached the Bihutoli ground where a street play was staged by the AWWs of Bhurbandha ICDS.
