Awareness campaign on Jal Jeevan Mission held in Keotkuchi Gaon Panchayat, Barpeta

BARPETA: With a view to provide pure drinking water to all people, the Central Government has started a scheme named Jal Jeevan Mission in Barpeta also.

In this regard, an awareness programme was also held at Moukhari in ward no. 4 under Keotkuchi Gaon Panchayat in Barpeta district on Thursday. The programme was presided over by Arpana Adhikary, counselor, PHE, Barpeta district. She spoke about the water-borne diseases that would affect people as a result of drinking impure water. She urged all the people to drink pure drinking water.
