Awareness-cum-training programme on fish nutrition

HAFLONG: Celebrating Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Krishi Vigyan Kendra Dima Hasao, Haflong organized an awareness-cum-training programme on 'Fish nutrition and its Health Benefits' under the theme 'Food and Nutrition for Farmers' on Thursday.

The programme started with the welcome address by Subhajit Mohapatra (assistant) followed by the technical presentation on 'Fish Nutrition and its Health Benefits' by Kabin Medhi (Subject Matter Specialist-Fisheries). Somendra Longmailai (Chief Trustee-Keshav Smarak Nyas, Haflong) and Nidhubon Paul (Secretary of Keshav Smarak Nyas, Haflong) graced the programme as chief guest and guest of honour respectively. Altogether 25 farmers and farm women from different villages of Dima Hasao district participated in the programme.
