Awareness programme against superstition conducted in Bongaigaon

Bongaigaon: With the intention of creating a superstition-free society and developing scientific mind among people, a programme titled ‘Manuhe manuhor babe’ (people for people) was conducted on Thursday in Bongaigaon.

The programme was organized by the Science, Technology and Environment department of Assam in association with Ellora Science Society. The team arrived in Bongaigaon on Wednesday and staged a street play titled Hring hring fuu, written by Monimala Das.

Several noted persons, including Kamalesh Gupta, secretary of Ellora Science Society, Dr Firoz Ahmed and Hareswar Das, Bongaigaon district president and secretary of Ellora Science Society respectively, were present. A short story against superstition was also shown.
