Awareness programme on gender equality held at Kusumtola Anchalik HSS

JAMUGURIHAT: An awareness programme on gender equality organized by the Equal Opportunity Cell of THB College, Jamugurihat, in association with National Human Rights and Crime Control Bureau, Assam, was held at Kusumtola Anchalik HSS with a day-long programme on Wednesday.

Addressing the programme, Sumanta Rajbanshi, coordinator of Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), THB College briefed about the programme and stated the welfare schemes that the college had undertaken for community development so far. The programme was inaugurated by Kamal Bhattarai, principal of the school. Rantu Dutta, assistant professor of Assamese, THB College graced the occasion as a resource person and stated about the adverse effect of gender biasness and gender inequality. He made a humble appeal to all concerned to join hands in eradication of gender inequality and emphasized in favour of gender equality.
