Awareness programme on ‘Menstrual Hygiene and Negative Effects of Tobacco Use on Health’ held

DEMOW: An awareness programme on ‘Menstrual Hygiene and Negative Effects of Tobacco Use on Health’ was organized by NSS Unit, Demow College and the Department of Assamese in collaboration with Demow Block Primary Health Centre, in the conference hall of Demow College on Friday.

A free health camp was also organized in the programme. In the awareness programme, discussion was held on various issues such as menstrual hygiene, negative effects of tobacco, tuberculosis etc. Sanitary napkins were also distributed in the programme. In the awareness programme, the Principal of the Demow College, Professors of all the departments and the employees of the college were present.
