Awareness rally organized on road safety measures in Darrang district

MANGALDAI: In view of alarmingly increasing road accidents and gross violation of road safety measures, Darrang district administration, with active cooperation of District Transport Department, on Saturday organized a motorcycle rally to create awareness on road safety measures in different corners of the district.

Darrang Deputy Commissioner Pranab Kumar Sarma, in presence of Superintendent of Police Prasanta Saikia and officiating DIPRO Monika Borgohain, ceremonially flagged off the awareness rally in front of the DC's office. District Transport Officer Gautam Das earlier explained the objective of the rally. A total of 50 motorcyclists, including officials of Transport department took part in the rally.
