Azure Power provides self employment for over 100 villagers

UDALGURI/GUWAHATI: Azure Power, (NYSE: AZRE), a dedicated solar power company with a journey spanning over a decade and the first private utility solar power company in India to develop a solar plant in 2009, organised a felicitation ceremony for 114 students for passing skill enhancement courses in tailoring, beautician and basic computer from its Sarbherua Skill Development Center in Udalguri on March 22. The event witnessed the presence of Chandan Borah, General Manager, Assam Power Distribution Company Limited, Rangia Zone as the Chief Guest along with local village dignitaries such as Khwrwmsha Basumatary, President, and Raman Brahma, Secretary, Sarbha Herua Jwngsar Club and Amar Brahma, President, and Bajra Narzary, Secretary of the local village who presented certifications and tools of the trade to the top performing students of the year, stated a release.
