LAKHIMPUR: Bal Raksha Bharat- Save the Children donated 30 oxygen concentrators as part of the COVID-19 response to Dhemaji Civil Hospital Assam. Notably, Save the Children, registered as Bal Raksha Bharat in India, is an international organization working for children's rights in 120 countries and having presence in 16 States in India with intervention in the areas of Education, Health and Nutrition, Child Protection and DRR.

In order to combat and contain COVID-19 pandemic in the district of Dhemaji, Bal Raksha Bharat- Save the Children, in collaboration with its Implementing Organization Rural Volunteers Centre, RVC, Akajan, Dhemaji, came forward and donated 30 oxygen concentrators to Dhemaji Civil Hospital on May 27 to save the lives of the common people suffering from COVID-19.The brand and model of the oxygen concentrators is Jiangsu Yuyue 'Yuwell' 8F-5AW 5L Oxygen Concentrator and the total cost of the concentrators is Rs. 30,51,870.

The oxygen concentrators were donated to the Civil Hospital Dhemaji in a programme, wherein Deputy Commissioner P. Vijaya Bhaskar Reddy, Superintendent Dr. N. Borah along with other hospital staff were present.
