Ban on plastic, sale of tobacco products in Demow

DEMOW: As per order from the District Magistrate office, Sivasagar district, order no. SVMJ/L&O/20/2014/PT-I/18 dated 01-07-2021, in Demow municipality area, all types of below 50 micron plastic bags, plastic glass, plastic plates, PVC Chlorinated plastic bags and plastic banners have been totally banned, and sale of tobacco products has also been banned in Demow town area. Violation of this order may lead to punishment under 188 IPC and under Plastic Rules, 2016.
