Ban on plying of boat, swimming in Chandubi Lake lifted

Boko: Kamrup district administration has lifted the order of ban on plying of boat and swimming at Chandubi Lake in Kamrup rural district. The restriction was imposed by the Kamrup district administration Memo No KMJ-57/2009 Pt-1/167/910 dated November 15, 2017. Due to the ban, the tourism industry in the area had been hit. In this season, many tourists visit the area. On the other hand, Chandubi Festival will start from January 1, 2019 for five days. Due to this, the Director of the Tourism Department, Government of Assam, requested the district authority and the district administration responded. But the district administration has simultaneously arranged for safety of tourists.
