BDF demands appointments in 3rd, 4th grade posts

SILCHAR: Local youths of Barak Valley should be appointed in the third and fourth grade posts lying vacant in various government offices as well as local courts, demanded Barak Democratic Front (BDF). Maintaining that at least three lakh youths, registered with employment exchange, were in search of jobs, BDF said, the government should take steps to appoint them immediately. Third and fourth grade posts should be reserved for the local youths, demanded BDF in a memorandum submitted to the Deputy Commissioner. Kalparnab Gupta, convenor of BDF however expressed hope that the Chief Minister would respond positively to their demands. Mass unemployment had created a sense of frustration among the youths of the valley and that had been causing various social evils like drug addiction, Gupta added.
