Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) organizes citizens' meet in Demow

DEMOW: Under the patronage of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Sivasagar District Committee, on the occasion of the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a Nagarik meeting (citizens' meet), as part of the Sewa and Samarpan Abhijan, was organized at Demow Jyoti Bishnu Cultural Building on Friday where Ajanta Neog, State Finance Minister, was present.

Mayur Borgohain, president of BJP Sivasagar district, presided over the meeting and Pranab Chetia, district secretary of BJP, spoke about the aims of the meeting. In the Nagarik meeting, senior citizens, educationists, sportspersons, cultural activists and sports organizers of Thowra constituency were felicitated with a phulam gamosa and books by Ajanta Neog.

While talking to mediapersons here on Friday, Ajanta Neog said that the BJP candidate would win in the Thowra LAC bye-election. In the programme, Tapan Kumar Gogoi, Jorhat MP, Kushal Dowari and Sushanta Borgohain, both former MLAs of Thowra constituency, Subhash Dutta, District Prabhari of BJP, along with other BJP leaders were present.
