HOJAI: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) organized an assembly election meeting in Bithung Rengthengma constituency in West Karbi Anglong district on Sunday.
Attending as the chief guest, Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) MAC Chandra Br Chetry said that over 390 new NFSA cards and land pattas would be issued from the first week of November and soon advertisement for filling up 2,500 posts in Karbi Anglong would be out.
In the meeting, Karbi Anglong Garo Union general secretary John D. Sangma urged to be nominated as a MAC under KAAC and also for recognizing Garo language as MIL. The meeting was also attended by Mongolsing Bey, chairman of Rongkhang LAMPS and other leaders.
