Bharatiya Sikshan Mandal meet held in Lakhimpur Commerce College

LAKHIMPUR: A meeting of Bharatiya Sikshan Mandal was held in Lakhimpur Commerce College on Thursday. The meeting was inaugurated by Dr Muhidhar Pujari, President of the Governing Body of the college and attended by Professor Dr Hari Prasad Sarma, Bharatiya Sikshan Mandal's Gauhati University Unit and the organization's Uttar Asom Prant President Dr Nilmohan Roy.

The welcome address of the meeting was delivered by Principal Dr Lohit Hazarika. The meeting coincided with the release of the annual college magazine of Lakhimpur Commerce College edited by Benimadhab Buragohain and supervised by Dr Sikhamoni Borgogain. The magazine inauguration session was addressed by supervisor Dr Sikhamoni Borgogain and editor Benimadhab Buragohain.

In his address to the gathering, Dr Hari Prasad Sarma recalled his days in North Lakhimpur from 1981 to 1999 when he taught Chemistry at North Lakhimpur College. Expressing his satisfaction with inaugurating the college magazine, Dr Sarma also spoke about the aims and objectives of Bharatiya Sikshan Mandal adding that it was founded in 1969 and is affiliated ideologically to Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).
