BISWANATH CHARIALI: A tragic incident took place at Bhimajuli along the Assam-Arunachal border in Biswanath district on October 4, 2009. NDFB cadres had killed 14 people in indiscriminate firing.

A 6-7 year old girl named Krishnamani Borah's mother and sister were killed by bullets coming out of the gun of an NDFB cadre. After this incident, Krishnamani was taken by her grandfather to his house. After receiving money as compensation, Krishnamani's father remarried and abandoned her. However, Krishnamani continued her studies under the supervision of grandparents Suren Hazarika and Moni Hazarika and uncle. Now she has achieved remarkable success in the HS final exam, 2020.

In the Bhimajuli case, mother Junu Borah and sister Dulumani Borah were shot dead by NDFB cadres. Krishnamani worked hard and passed the HS exam in first division securing 74 percent aggregate and with letter marks in Assamese and Education. Krishnamani had passed the HSLC examination in first division with letter marks in two subjects. She hopes to join the police force to serve the society.
