Bihu/Bwisagu committees of Udalguri district receive financial grant

TANGLA: "This is indeed a goodwill gesture of the State Government to help our Bihu/Bwisagu committees so that they do not force anyone for Bihu donation. Due to lack of time, only some Bihu /Bwisagu committees of the State were shortlisted but soon a second list of such committees will also be considered as per government norms," said Mazbat MLA Charan Boro while addressing a mammoth gathering of selected Bihu and Bwisagu committees of the Udalguri district on Wednesday here at Udalguri College auditorium.

The ceremonial distribution of government incentives to the Bihu/Bwisagu committees was also addressed by MCLA of Paanchnoi Serfang, Deepak Mour and SDO Sadar of Udalguri, Shyamanta Rabi Bara. A total of 31 Bihu/ Bwisagu committees of Udalguri district were given financial assistance of Rs 1.50 lakh each on Wednesday by the Udalguri district administration on behalf of the State Government.
