Bijoynagar police seized 70 cough syrup bottles, 1 held

PALASBARI: Bijoynagar police seized a large number of banned cough syrup bottles on Thursday night.

A police team led by Amjad Brahma of Bijoyanagar police station, conducted an operation based on a tip-off in a pharmacy called RB Medical at Uparhali. The police did not find the cough syrup bottles there but when they raided a rented house in Ojapara, police were able to seize 70 bottles of the banned Daslin_cd cough syrup. The bottles had been hidden there by the owner of the pharmacy, Pankaj Kumar Das. Police arrested Pankaj Kumar Das and filed a case no 389/21.
