BILASIPARA: The Bilasipara subdivisional administration has once again appealed to all the ineligible ration card holders under the National Food Security Act (NFSA), 2013 having annual family income of Rs 1 lakh and above to surrender their representative ration cards either to the GPSS office concerned or to the office of Food and Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Bilasipara at the earliest in order to enable the department to include other left out poor and deserving families, stated a press release.

The State Government and the subdivisional administration have been appealing to government employees, pensioners, businessmen and others whose income is above Rs 1 lakh, to voluntarily surrender their ration cards, if any. Till date only 45 ration cards possessed by ineligible families have been surrendered.
