Bishakupie TE bypass- Photikjan Road opened in Doomdooma

TINSUKIA: Doomdooma MLA Durga Bhumij formally opened the Bishakupie TE bypass- Photikjan Road under 10 no. ward of Daimukhiya gaon panchayat for the public on Sunday, the construction of which began in March, 2019 after minister Himanta Biswa Sarma along with Pradan Baruah, MP of Lakhimpur, laid the foundation stone of 20 roads in Doomdooma tea belt being constructed at the cost of Rs 1 crore.

The road has been christened as Swahid Gandhi Munda Path. Munda was an active Congress worker and member of 2 no. ward under Daimukhiya gaon panchyat who was critically beaten by few miscreants on September 10 and later he succumbed to his injuries next day at AMC&H Dibrugarh.
