Bishnu Prasad Rabha Memorial Day celebrated at Doomdooma

DOOMDOOMA: Under the auspices of Assam Government’s Cultural Affairs Department and with the active cooperation of Tinsukia district administration, a two-day Bishnu Prasad Rabha Memorial Day was celebrated at Doomdooma on Monday. The tribute paying ceremony which was inaugurated by chairperson Kanta Bhattacharya at Doomdooma Municipal Board (DMB) was attended by prominent citizens Arjun Barua, Doomdooma Sakha Xahitya Xabha (DSXX) president Bimala Barua, secretary Deben Deka, journalist Dhiren Deka, vice-chairman, DMB Moni Dutta, ward commissioners, cultural activist Nayan Deka and others.

Thereafter chairperson Kanta Bhattacharya flagged off the mobile campaign vehicle. The vehicle proceeded to Saraswati Girls School, Doomdooma Bangiya Vidyalaya, Hoonlal Higher Secondary School, Doomdooma Girls Higher Secondary School, Rammohan Pathshala and Shishu Vidya Mandir respectively.
