Biswanath College becomes academic partner of Assam Start Up-The Nest

BISWANATH CHARIALI: Being a premier higher educational institution in Assam, Biswanath College holds a vital responsibility of securing the future of not only the students but also of the local community. With an aim to achieve this and to create an entrepreneurial environment, Biswanath College has made a significant collaboration with Assam Start Up-The Nest, a startup facilitation organization of the Department of Industries and Commerce, Government of Assam, operated by IIM Calcutta Innovation Park.

Dr.Chintamani Sharma, the Principal of the college, and Hemanta Boruah, Head-Partnership, Assam Start Up-The Nest, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding after which the college has become the academic partner of the Assam Start Up-The Nest. After this official association, The Nest will facilitate in launching a Spoke Incubation Centre in the college. Furthermore, the Assam Start Up-The Nest is soon going to organize an Ideathon among the budding entrepreneurs of the college. As Dr Chintamani Sharma stated, this collaboration between Biswanath College and Assam Start Up-The Nest would be milestone in creating an entrepreneurial ecosystem in the northern bank of the Brahmaputra.
