Biswanath District Congress Committee protests against government

BISWANATH CHARIALI: Pratarana Divas was observed on Monday at several places, including Biswanath Chariali, Gohpur and Bedeti, under the initiative of Biswanath District Congress Committee in collaboration with four Block Congress Committees.

The Congress activists alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal had failed to keep their promises during the last floods. The protesters also alleged that the Central and State governments were not doing enough and that they were politicizing the issue. The Congress leaders added that the BJP government would be overthrown in the 2021 Assembly elections by the voters of Assam.
