BJP candidate Rupsing Teron files nomination in West Karbi Anglong

DONKAMUKAM: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Rupsing Teron, who is also EM of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), filed nomination before the Returning Officer at Hamren in West Karbi Anglong on Wednesday.

He was accompanied by CEM of KAAC, Tuliram Ronghang, EM Prodip Rongpi and EM Mongolsing Timung, along with other leaders. Later, while addressing a public meet at Hamren multi-utility building, CEM of KAAC, Tuliram Ronghang exuded confidence that Rupsing Teron would win with a huge margin. Rupsing Teron pledged to raise the most burning issue, that is, implementation of Article 244(A). In the meeting, West Karbi Anglong District Mohila Congress Committee president Bimala Timungpi and her followers joined the BJP.
