KALAIGAON: Ahead of the Assam Assembly election 2021, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) star election campaigner and State Finance Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma addressed a huge rally at the Kalaigaon College playground in Udalaguri district on Tuesday.
Sarma attended an election campaign meet for BJP's Kalaigaon LAC candidate, Madhuram Deka and he announced that BJP would to form the next government in Assam. He exhorted the people of the region to vote for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the forthcoming assembly polls for the sake of good governance. Sarma underlined Prime Minister Narendra Modi's commitment of rapid growth and development across the length and breadth of the nation and added that the government had been working to ensure equal development, equal dignity and equal opportunity to all sections of the people of the country. He further assured of keeping alive the socio-cultural identity and rich heritage of every community residing in the State if the BJP was voted to power again. Further, he assured that the government would recruit as many as 1 lakh educated youths within one year after being voted to power.
BJP candidate Madhuram Deka also addressed the gathering. Deka assured the people that a college would be opened at Kalaigaon for higher education if the BJP was voted to power. He urged the people to secure their absolute rights of living with dignity and equality by voting for the saffron party. "We want a unified platform where every community will march ahead and inclusive growth and development will occur. If the people will vote for the BJP in the forthcoming election to form the next government then BJP will fulfill the demands of the people," he said.
More than 8,000 people took part in this rally. Meanwhile, several BJP leaders like MP Dilip Saikia, EM Diganta Barua, Amiya Bhuyn and Pradunma Dutta took part in this meeting.
