Jamugurihat: In an organisational meeting of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) held at Jamugurihat, Sonitpur district of Assam on Thursday, BJP MLA Padma Hazarika said that BJP will win in the upcoming Assembly election of Assam which is scheduled to be held around April, 2021.The MLA expressed confidence that the BJP would form the government in Assam for the second consecutive term by winning over 80 seats
Hazarika said that the BJP-led government had done development work worth Rs 100 crore in each panchayat of the Sootea Constituency. A scheme for providing 200 safe drinking water connections in Sootea constituency has been introduced by the government and the work has been started. Hazarika further claimed, 'So far, I have constructed roads worth Rs 80 crore in the Sootea constituency."
And speaking about the opposition party members joining BJP, he said that till nowmore than 10,000 people of Congress party have joined the saffron party. And over 100 members from Opposition parties joined BJP in the meeting on Thursday. MLA Hazarika greeted all the participants with BJP party flags and hats.
The meeting held at Panpur High School premises of West Barbhagia Gaon Panchayat, was presided by NaDuar BJP mandal president Jayant Bora.
Speaking to media, MLA Hazarika said, we have been organizing
organizational meetings in Gaon Panchayat level. There is total 10 gaon
panchayat at Naduar and this is the 6th number meeting we are holding . Our
party workers have been working very hard and connecting people. The central
and state government has introduced several schemes for the poor people, students,
farmers, patience etc which really helped and satisfied them, and large
gatherings can be seen in the meetings. They are supporting the party to the
fullest. While many from Congress and Communist Party of India, Marxists (CPM)
joined the saffron party. He further said that this is a indication that BJP
will win in the upcoming Assembly election with and form the government with
over 80 seats.
More than 200 Congressmen attended the BJP's organizing meeting.
