Kokrajhar: Bodoland Janajati Suraksha Mancha (BJSM) on Wednesday came down heavily on Kokrajhar MP Naba Kr Sarania for alleged attendance in the religious meet.
Talking to this reporter, the working president of the BJSM, DD Narzary said Kokrajhar MP Naba Kr Sarania went to the Nizamuddin religious meet in New Delhi on March 18 for his political interest although he knew about the deadly coronavirus which was spreading rapidly in the country. Narzary said it was extremely unfortunate that an MP like Sarania ignored the instruction to stay indoors and to maintain social distancing. He also said Sarania, being a public representative, had a bigger role to appeal to people to remain indoors but instead of doing so he went to the Nizamuddin Tablighi Jamaat for his political interest.
Narzary demanded that the government should take stern action against Sarania for violating the general instructions. He also alleged that the doctors of Kokrajhar who were rendering their service in this crucial period did not have requisite kits and protective mechanism and were thereby working under great risk. He urged the State Government to supply all essential equipment as early as possible.
