NAGAON: The NCC cadets of the historic Nowgong College (autonomous) currently proposed to be State University, as well as Ananda Ram Dhekial Phukan College, Nagaon, jointly organized a blood donation camp at the college auditorium of Nowgong College on Saturday.

The commanding officer of 8th Assam Battalion, NCC, Nagaon, Colonel Amar Singh ceremonially inaugurated the camp while Colonel Sukhadev Singh, the administrative officer, NCC, NCC Officer of Nowgong College Major Bhupal Kalita, lieutenant Dr Jalin Chetia of ADP College, physician Dr Chandan Sarma, adviser Jitu Dutta, professor Dr Bhuban Chandra Chutia graced the occasion as invitees.

During the camp, over 30 students as well as NCC cadets of those two educational institutions donated more than 30 units of blood. Significantly, all the units of blood were stored in the blood bank of Nagaon BP Civil Hospital for emergency use for patients.
