Blood donation camp organized at Dharamshala

LAKHIMPUR: Dhakuakhana Subdivisional Civil Hospital, Lions' Club and Chambers of Commerce organized a blood donation camp at Dharamshala on Tuesday. The camp was organized in association with the National Service Scheme (NSS) unit and Team Humanity.

The camp was inaugurated by Dhakuakhana SDO (Civil) Arindam Baruah. In his lecture, he threw light upon the importance of blood donation and its benefits. Dr. Kabita Pegu from Lakhimpur Medical College and Hospital, Dr. Pradip Mili, the Superintendent of Dhakuakhana Subdivisional Civil Hospital, Principal of Dhakuakhana College Jogananda Sut, senior citizen Kushal Gogoi delivered lecture in the inaugural session which was held under the management of Lion's Club member Hemanta Kumar Baruah. Over 50 persons, including several doctors of Dhakuakhana Subdivisional Civil Hospital, teachers, businessmen of Dhakuakhana donated blood in the camp.
