Blood donation camp organized in Dhubri district

DHUBRI: A blood donation camp was organized on the 57th foundation day of BSF jointly by 19 and 41 Bn BSF at Panbari Sector Headquarters of Dhubri district on Friday. Over a hundred men and women donated blood in the camp and marked the observation of the day. Talking to the mediapersons, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of BSF, Joy Chandra Nayek informed that Border Security Force (BSF) came into being on December 1, 1965 after Indo-China War. "Since then the foundation day has been organized and celebrated with civil action programmes like organizing blood donation camp, health check-up camp or conducting sports activities and other civil action programmes to mark the foundation of BSF," Nayek added.
