GUWAHATI: In an unfortunate incident in Goalpara district of Assam, a person has gone missing after a boat capsized in Dakaidal village. The missing individual has been identified as Munnaf Ali. This incident occurred amid adverse weather conditions, with a heavy storm striking the area while Ali was out fishing with four of his friends. The ferocity of the storm led to the boat capsizing in the water.

Although four of Ali's companions managed to reach the safety of the riverbanks, Ali himself remained unaccounted for. Concerns over his safety grew as time passed, prompting action from local authorities and emergency services.

Currently, the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) personnel are actively engaged in conducting rescue operations to locate the missing individual. Their efforts are focused on ensuring that Ali is found and brought to safety as soon as possible.

In a separate incident within the region, another calamity struck as a massive tree fell over a house during a powerful storm in Kheroni, located in Assam's West Karbi Anglong district. The victim of this unfortunate incident has been identified as Radha Rani Dey, a resident of Amtala village.

The force of the falling tree caused severe injuries to Radha Rani Dey, leading to an urgent need for medical attention. This incident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers posed by severe weather conditions, especially during storms.

These two incidents highlight the vulnerability of communities in Assam to the unpredictable and sometimes destructive forces of nature. The ongoing rescue operations in Goalpara and the medical care provided to Radha Rani Dey in West Karbi Anglong demonstrate the dedication of local authorities and emergency responders in addressing such crisis. As the search for Munnaf Ali continues and Radha Rani Dey receives medical treatment, the communities affected by these incidents come together in solidarity.
