Body of woman found in Nagaon

NAGAON: On Saturday afternoon, the body of Momi Das, a woman who was the wife of an e-rickshaw driver named Narayan Das, was discovered in front of her home while it was being buried close to Dimaruguri Checkgate Tiniali, on the outskirts of the town.

After a tip from some villagers, Nagaon Itachali police arrived on the scene, recovered the woman's decomposing body, and then sent it to Nagaon BP Public Hospital for a postmortem, according to sources.“Given that she had gone unnoticed for a few days, the locals assumed that her husband may have killed her on Wednesday night and buried her in the front yard of his home. The residents said that after drinking alcohol at midnight, they frequently heard arguments between husband and wife.
